.NET and Native run in your own process, so EDI data never leaves your network. Cloud is hosted by ediFabric.

ediFabric .NET

A .NET library that reads EDI into typed C# objects, writes them back to EDI, and validates them. It ships as the EdiFabric NuGet package plus a template package per EDI standard.

1. From the project directory, install the library and the templates for your standard:

   dotnet add package EdiFabric
   dotnet add package EdiFabric.Templates.X12

   Swap EdiFabric.Templates.X12 for .Hipaa, .Edifact, .Hl7, .Ncpdp, .Padis, .Vda, or .Edigas. In Visual Studio, run the same packages with Install-Package in the Package Manager Console.

2. Set the serial before any other call:

   License.SetSerial("YOUR_SERIAL_KEY");

3. Read a file:

ediFabric Native

A native library that converts X12 to JSON and JSON back to X12, with validation and acknowledgments, inside your own process. Use it from Python, Java, C, or C# through the official bindings.

1. Download the library for your platform:

   Platform	File	Download

   macOS arm64	edifabric-x12-tools.dylib	.zip, 3.50 MB

2. Clone the bindings for your language: Python, Java, C, or C#. For any other language, use the C ABI.
3. Put the library next to your executable, or set its path in the bindings.

4. Set the serial and parse a file. In Python:

The Windows binaries are Authenticode-signed, the Linux binaries have a detached .asc signature, and the macOS binaries are codesigned. The Download article shows how to verify them.

ediFabric Cloud

A REST API that reads, writes, validates, and acknowledges EDI. Send a file or JSON over HTTPS and get JSON or EDI back. There is nothing to install.

1. Send the serial on every request as the Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key header.

2. POST an EDI file to the read endpoint for its standard (x12, edifact, hl7, ncpdp, or vda):

Use /write to turn JSON back into EDI, /validate to check it, and /ack for X12 997, 999, TA1, or EDIFACT CONTRL. Treat the serial like a password and do not ship it in browser code.
